Dear Supporter,
An Aldi executive once said “We want to bring products to the stores that customers want.” Unfortunately, this statement doesn't seem to apply to crate free pork!
It's been over two years since we started this campaign asking Aldi to require its suppliers to transition from gestation crates to group housing. Sadly, we see no evidence of any progress. Unlike many other companies in the food industry, Aldi still allows its pork suppliers to use what many consider one of the cruelest practices in animal agriculture − gestation crates.
Please let know Aldi that you care about this issue, and want to buy crate free pork at Aldi. Ask them to finally make a real commitment by requiring their suppliers to phase out the use of gestation crates by a specific date.
Here's how:
- Email Aldi at https://www.aldi.us/en/contact/
- Subject: Choose product
- Subcategory - Choose specific product details
- Skip product details section
- Add your comment
- Choose yes! You want an agent to respond.
When you get a response from Aldi, please share it below as a comment in the *DISCUSSION* section below.
As the fastest growing grocery chain in the U.S., Aldi can have a tremendous and positive impact on the lives of the animals that feed us ... if they choose to.
Thank for your continued support for the animals that feed us.
