The Chicago City Council is set to consider an ordinance that would make it illegal for restaurants in dry precincts to allow customers to bring their own beer or wine (BYOB).  This will cause hardship for many restaurants in Chicago, and prevent many new restaurants from opening in neighborhoods and precincts where package liquor sales are prohibited by referendum.  This ordinance could cost many small businesses their livelihoods, and hurt the economic development efforts of many neighborhoods.  

The draft ordinance is set to be considered at the next city council meeting on October 16th, 2013.  Join the Beverly Area Planning Association, and other organizations in Chicago, in opposing this proposed law!
