Chicago has LIVE POULTRY markets that sell RABBITS!  You can go there, pick your bunny and have it for dinner.  The one above sells them for $2.99 / lb. The 5th most popular in-home pet in this country!  Practically ALL the grocery stores in Illinois NO LONGER sell rabbit because of this!  Rabbits are well loved in this country.  Some of the Rabbit organizations: The Red Door Animals Shelter, HRS Chicago, Bunnies United Network, Wonder Bunny Rabbit Rescue, The Sweet Bunny Project, The House Rabbit Society plus more advocate, teach and rescue our furry little Family Pets.  Why is it that these places are allowed to slaughter them?  They are one of the most horrific, smelly, disgusting places you will ever step into in your life. I have visited several and literally wanted to throw up after being inside! Can you imagine what their life is like inside these places?!  I can't believe the USDA allows this place to exist.  It makes you wonder whether they've ever visited these stores!  Please sign and share.  Let these alderman's know you're NOT HAPPY and why haven't they done something about this!  Rabbits are BANNED from Pet Stores in Chicago but yet you can buy a LIVE RABBIT for pet or slaughter? Isn't this redundant?  Please let them know to STOP selling rabbits at these places in Chicago period! Thank you!
