Companion dogs are an integral part of our families and communities. Dog Friendly Areas (DFAs) provide a safe and open environment for off-leash socialization and exercise. Many members of our community (and their 4-legged family members) will benefit from and use this DFA, which won $100,000 dollars and almost 300 votes in the last PB45 Participatory Budgeting Cycle. Please note that the additional $50,000-$75,000 in anticipated costs will be fundraised by the Austin Foster Dog Park Committee. The Committee, along with volunteers, will maintain and support the DFA once it is created.
