The residents of the West Loop do not want to see the beloved property at 1040-1060 W. Monroe obliterated to make way for yet another "luxury apartment" complex.  This complex seeks to destroy the beautifully maintained aesthetic of the block in the following ways: 1) destroying the courtyard/ green space, 2) Failing to adhere to the set-back that all adjacent developments along Monroe have set forth, 3) Creating non-gated ground level residences that abut the sidewalks.  Furthermore, the parking garage will cause overwhelming congestion on the already traffic-addled Rundell Place.  

The developers have not reached out to nor responded to the community in any way, and we ask you, Alderman Solis, to hear our concerns so that we may have an impact on how this development project proceeds.
