On 4th March 2023, Ukrainian teenager Albina Yevko went for a walk and did not return. She fell from the old Dawlish sea wall in between Rockstone and Dawlish Warren. Despite brave overnight attempts by numerous emergency services, Albina died from significant impact injuries.

Her family have met with Network Rail who have so far refused to commit to railings and lighting to prevent another death, stating it is too expensive. They have to date refused to share any risk assessment and conclusions regarding the area.

4 березня 2023 року українка Альбіна Євко пішла гуляти і не повернулася.  Вона впала зі старої морської стіни Доуліш між Рокстоуном і Доуліш-Ворреном.  Незважаючи на сміливі нічні спроби численних екстрених служб, Альбіна померла від значних травм.

 Її родина зустрілася з Network Rail, які поки що відмовляються взяти на себе зобов’язання поставити поручні та освітлення, щоб запобігти ще одній смерті, заявивши, що це занадто дорого.  На сьогоднішній день вони відмовилися ділитися будь-якою оцінкою ризику та висновками щодо території.
