I am calling to have Dogs considered as eligible vehicle passengers in all Carpool and HOV, lanes. Reason being is that our pets are considered as our family and companions. We care for them financially and emotionally, In comparison very similar to they way we care for our children.The same way a K-9 is recognized as a member of law enforcement,shot or injured in the line of duty he/she is considered as an officer down.Fire house dogs are considered as on duty firefighters, they have a job to do as do our family members, They guard and protect us, keep us company, and provide a companionship and comfort like no other. As responsible parents to our family members we keep immunization records, we feed them , we clothe them, we shelter them we take them for doctors visits and check ups we love them hug them and they do the same in return.It would help the elderly disabled people and dog owners get around more conveniently if Dogs were allowed to be considered as carpool friendly. Dogs are considered companions not just pets.
