I have been a resident of Jackson County Alabama for 18 years. And I've come to love the free standing bridge that connects Scottsboro, Alabama to Section, Alabama and Henagar, Alabama, and several more communities on those mountains. Year after year, I have watched American Bald Eagles nest there on the top of the bridge, and raise their young. Watch as they majestically fly over the river below and come to rest on the top of the bridge.

But now they have plans to tear the last free standing bridge in Alabama down and "try" to relocate the nests to another location. To me, it's heartbreaking that such a piece of history of Jackson County is thought so little of so that "certain" people won't continue to be inconvenienced. That bridge has worked just fine for so many years. Why tear it down now? 

And the Eagles, the birds that represent our nation, are going to go down with it.  Stand with me now and tell Jackson County and the City of Scottsboro that we want to keep our bridge and keep the natural habitat that has become home to those beautiful Eagles.
