Nelson Mandela stated, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Without an education, it is almost impossible to meet the day to day challenges. We believe access to a quality education is a civil right, and should not be provided based on the area in which you live. Parents have a right to send their children to high-quality schools, and students have a right to receive a quality education. We want to ensure that a free, quality education is available for all children, especially those in the city of Bessemer, Alabama.

Knowledge Unlimited Public Charter School (Knowledge U) is a free, K-5 public school founded by a group of educators and parents who seek change in the way education has been done by using their expertise on the “frontlines” in schools to promote better educational opportunities for ALL students.The mission of Knowledge U is to prepare students for college, a career, and life through a holistic educational experience.The goal is not to prepare students to take a test, or do just enough to graduate.The goal is to prepare students academically, socially, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually to become productive, contributing members of society.
