I am trying to keep Carl Darrell Hutto (AIS#148575) in prison. He murdered my cousin Rhonda Kay Bain Hutto, his ex-wife and mother of his 3 children.

    I have been able to keep this man in prison for 33 1/2 years now and need to keep him in there for the rest of his life. On July 30, 1987 at 6:02 pm is when he killed her. I remember this day and time because I was there  and it was just 2 days after my 12th birthday. This is exactly what happened.

   I was wanting to go and play with their 3 daughters and I asked my father and he said I could and to be back home by 6:30. I rode my bicycle to my aunt's house where my cousin and her children lived. After being there for a little while, I asked my aunt what time it was and she said 6:02. She then looked towards the road and told me to go to the shed and tell Rhonda to get to the house Darrell passed by. I did. I jogged out there and told her and when I turned around I saw my aunt fighting with the kids to get in the house and I knew something was wrong and I ran back as fast as I could. Just as I got to the top door step I looked back and saw Darrell drive his car through the ditch and shove the car in park. He jumped out running towards Rhonda with a .45 caliber pistol pointed up in the air. When he got to her ,he hit her in the head with it fracturing her skull. All the while she is yelling, "HELP MOMMA! HE'S KILLING MOMMA!". That's when I ran and hid in the closet. I could hear him shooting at her mother and he shot the closet I was hiding in 3 times. Her mother was running from him with their 13 month old daughter in her arms. Their oldest daughter  was yelling, " SHOOT HIM MOMMAW SHOOT HIM!" Next thing I know she came in the room and said, "Sandra, my daddy just killed my momma". All I could think of was we needed to get out of there and get help. So I. Told her when I open this door run, don't walk. Run. So we did, I didn't know that he had left by this point. But we ran to my uncle's house and my aunt was yelling in the phone Darrell just killed Rhonda. It was later that I would see pictures and find out that he had shot her in her lower back and the bullet came out of her chest. She died behind the shed lying face down in high grass.
