I want to change the Alabama law regarding the way animal abusers are sentenced.

I want to change the Alabama law regarding the way animal abusers are sentenced.
The Issue
The problem in the state of Alabama is the law regarding the way animal abusers are prosecuted. In the state of Alabama, it is a misdemeanor with little or no jail time for the monsters that committ these crimes. This law needs to be changed because so many criminals get out and get back out and commit the same crimes, with little to no regard to how they will be prosecuted, if they get caught. The community would be alot safer place with people like this off the street. It is a direct danger because alot of these criminals will hurt people just like they hurt animals. These people have had bad upbringings and perform in criminal activity their whole lives. We have to speak up for the innocent who cannot. We have to be the advocates. What kind of a world can we live in when we can't care for our precious animals?
