Alabama is one of the eastern most states in the central time zone. After the clocks rolled back November 5th, the Sun began to set before 5 pm. As the winter progresses, the Sun will continue to set even earlier. For the vast majority of Alabama citizens who work indoors, experiencing natural sunlight during the week becomes far too uncommon and can lead to seasonal depression. Switching Alabama to the eastern time zone would be an easy solution to this problem and allow for more sunlight during after work activities.
