Ala Wai Harbor Community Watermans Center

The issue

Let’s support every child with water safety education. Many local Non Profits seek to find a permanent home to continue to provide for our keiki and asks for your support. Should we have a multipurpose community facility open to the public, on public land to service our community with water safety, after school youth activities and jobs for our community

A space in our Harbor could be the ”Hawaii Watermans Center” and serve as 1. Watermans History and Cultural Hub, 2. Outdoor Learning Center for Keiki Safety, Skills and Stewardship Program and 3. The Hawaii Center of Excellence for our dedication athletes to represent us abroad and at the Olympic Games.  If you agree this is a great use of space in our Ala Wai Harbor support our plea.

We support our keiki from living day to day homeless to becoming dedicated athletes representing their family, Hawaii and the United States. With drowning the no.1 cause of accidental deaths in Hawaii's youth we need to educate our next generations on their life safety through perpetuating the Hawaiian Watermans Culture through positive Watermans activities and ocean safety.  For more information on one of the non profits providing for our community please go to IKAIKA HAWAII A watermans Academy
