Derrin Crawford is 23 and is Liverpool UK born air-hostess who is now based in a Dubai. Currently she is an example of the extreme case of sexism & discrimination in the United Arab Emirates.

She was arrested on June 21st in Dubai after her first date with a British Man. She went back to his apartment that police went onto raid. They had found the man had 2 Cannabis joints. Just because of this she was arrested and made to do drug tests. 

Officers agreed to let her go if the tests had proved negative. Indeed, the tests were negative & clear showing Derrin had no drugs in her system. Yet, she is still being detained in handcuffs in Al Barsha Jail. These tests were proved negative & clear on Thursday 2nd July.

Derrin has had a difficult life after losing her mum at age 11 and soon after her Aunty who was her secondary caregiver. Moving to Dubai was a dream come true to her now it is a nightmare. 

This petition is to raise awareness and get to the attention of UK Government Officials in the Foreign Office: Dominic Raab (Foreign Secretary) & Simon McDonald (Head of Her Majesty’s Diplomatic Service). Who have the authority to further push/speak with Government Officials in Dubai to release her or at least return her to her family in the UK. She is young, innocent & living a nightmare.
