As you probably know, neither Aksys nor ArcSys have responded to our 4000+ strong petition. It's made some little waves within the industry, but nothing nearly approaching a solid resolution.
The only vague response from Aksys was in this interview:
https://youtu.be/1QeMPx4rdpY?t=2m6s
"Basically, the thing with the dub is that it's entirely up to Arc System Works. They've taken localization in house. The last one we've worked on was Continuum Shift. It was basically up to Arc System Works. Aksys Games does not have a say. It is what it is."
Funny, could have sworn they said it was either a dub or a delay... oh wait, they did. Meaning they do have a say. So either they lied then, or they're lying now. Aksys can make a difference. If not, we will. Right here and now.
Aksys have just announced the release date for the US version of Central Fiction: November 1st, 2016. They want you to preorder it, hype it up, whatever. Don't. If you preordered, cancel it. If you were thinking about it, reconsider. If you weren't going to, stay that course.
We tried using our voices, our pens, and that didn't work. Now we'll use our wallets. If you absolutely want to play the game, the Japanese version comes out on October 6th. http://www.play-asia.com/blazblue-centralfiction/13/70a29t
That way you support THE DEVELOPERS, but not Aksys Games. If they can't dignify us with a real response, then there is no reason to dignify them with our support.
Of course, I can't make you. If you want to support the US release of the game without the dub, that is entirely your right, but Aksys will know that a dub doesn't matter; you'll buy it anyway. Sure, the risk is there that they'll take this to mean that they shouldn't bother localizing it, but it's better than settling for second class treatment. Neither us nor the voice actors deserve that.
So send the clearest message you can. If the preorders plummet through the floor, they'll see a clear correlation. They'll have to say something. They can't afford to botch a major launch like this. Or maybe they can. Either way, a message will be sent: that we do matter... or we don't.
So, again: do not buy the US version of Central Fiction. Don't preorder it, don't buy it on day one, nothing. Import. A translation for the story will come, if it hasn't begun already. There is no reason to waste money on supporting a subpar localization. And maybe, just maybe, this will really get Aksys to realize what they've lost through the sacrifice of the dub in favor of a 'quicker release'.
