Akron Police shooting video to be released by family

My Mohammad was 3 houses away from home when he was approached by akron police who came out guns drawn from an unmarked vehicle. They have been unclear and tight lipped as to what exactly happened next. No body cams or car cams were in use at any time during his shooting. There was a business across the street that had video, but the akron police confiscated that shortly after the shooting. I now have this video in my possession. My family and i will be releasing it soon.

My Mohammad did have a gun on him. However it did not have any bullets. He never had any intention of hurting anyone much less the 2 officers that killed him. You can clearly see in the video that Mohammad is alone and posing no threat when the officers pull up in an unmarked white ford taurus with guns already drawn. My Mohammad never had a chance. They even thought to use any other levels of force before moving for deadly. I do not understand why my Mohammad had to take 15 and die (10 lodged and 5 went thru) just for running out of gas and having an empty firearm on him. You can clearly see my Mohammad walking away from these officers with his hands swinging at his sides. 5 steps later he was dead face down on the ground. In the press, the akron police did everything they could to make themselves look like heroes and make my Mohammad look more like a terrorist threat. They wouldn't give many details just that he pulled a gun. They expected that everyone would accept that my Mohammad deserved what he got for pulling a weapon on police and move on. Open and shut they thought they were done.  A lot of people fell for the stories in the press and would say that he clearly had a plan of attack on akron. Well what do they think now? Out of gas and no bullets? Yah he had big plans let me tell you. Unfortunately for them I knew my Mohammad better than that. Before ever seeing the video, I was absolutely sure that he would not have pulled a gun on these officers but I couldn’t prove that. Until Now that i have the video….i can prove it.

Eyewitnesses have come forward to me and I was made aware that the police interviewed some eyewitnesses as well. These people sought me out on facebook and were brave enough to tell me what they saw. They all confirm that they saw no gun in my Mohammad’s hands and that he was running from the police while they were shooting him in the back. These witnesses were questioned by the police but were not asked in detail exactly what they saw. The line of questioning was vague and open ended. One of the witnesses even said that Mohammad had posed no threat to these officers. This was overlooked and never addressed.

It has also been said that my Mohammad was hemmed up on a lot of drugs that day. I can guarantee you that he was not and i have the tox screen from his autopsy to prove it.  Can I tell you how long it took to complete his autopsy? 6 months. You know if it was a cop it wouldn't take no 6 months for his autopsy to come back. This what i call padding. Padding time for them to come up with whatever cover story they want. It took them 504 days to provide my family with his case file. Too late to file any charges for Mohammad's pain and suffering. They lied to us and said he was dead immediately. But when we got the case file the one officer states that he heard my Mohammad take a few labored breaths. Then he decided to handcuff Mohammad behind his back so hard that the autopsy noted severe handcuff wounds. He also felt the need to tell EMS when they pulled up that he thought Mohammad was gone so don’t worry about it.They ripped my Mohammad's pants down around his ankles and left him lay in that field wide open no barriers and all alone. They managed to turn on their body cams after they killed him and that's how i know this information. Then they proceeded to go 3 houses down to his apartment and search it or really trash it.   General Dave Yost assigned 2 assistant atty generals to review the case. They took it before the grand jury who cleared both officers.

As i said 504 days later i finally had some answers about exactly what happened that fateful day. I want to thank Halls Courier for having the surveillance video that provided my family with the last minute of Mohammad's life. Without that camera we would not have any answers and this entire case would be the word of the police against nobody. I cant sit down for that. Video soon to come. Stay tuned. Please sign if you haven't already and remember to share if you would be so kind. Thank you for your support.
