All over India, tigers are getting run over by trains. The train tracks are littered with food from the passengers which attract the tigers. So far over 30 tigers have died as a result. Tigers that are hit die a horrific death.

One had his entire leg decapitated by the train. Another was electrocuted after stepping on the rails. The Tigers are not the only victims, more than 200 elephants have also been hit since the rail was open. To make matters worse, the tracks run through an animal sanctuary. Migrating animals are at the most risk of being hit.

No animal should be killed by something that is entirely preventable. Especially when there are many easy solutions to the problem, chain fences around and rail and rerouting the trains have both been proposed. Please sign and share to urge the government to save these precious animals.
