Mrs. Pena is the head of the Theatre Arts Program at Kealing Middle School, and in January her health waiver expires. She is the sole caretaker of her elderly and medically compromised mom, and cannot risk putting herself and her family in danger. She was willing to go back to school and teach in the auditorium, but it is going to be under renovation from January to March, so she will be forced to teach 30 kids at a time in the small space of her classroom. Mrs. Pena has changed so many lives and is a great teacher who Kealing cannot afford to lose. If Mrs. Pena is not given a better place to teach, she will have to use her accumulated leave days to teach, or resign until further notice. Mrs. Pena has been teaching at Kealing for over 26 years and built the Theatre Program from the ground up, so if she goes, the Theatre Program goes with her. We need your help to save her job!
