We all are going through the midst of a pandemic. Everyone around the world is being affected negatively by this epidemic. Recently, Juan Seguin High School has fired their 11th grade US History teacher because she stated that she didn’t feel safe coming physically to school because of what was happening in our outside world. 

All of the students in the AISD district have been given the choice to either stay learning at home or go physically to school. Teachers are humans just like us, they need to be given a choice. Ms. Nogle has done a phenomenal job teaching her students. Unlike other teachers, she goes over our work together, makes sure we understand, and gives us positive vibes throughout the day. As a student, she is one of the only reasons us students are still sane. 

Ms. Nogle is one of the greatest teachers we have ever had. She, including other teachers, deserve the opportunity to teach how they seem comfortable. We all love Ms. Nogle for standing by us when times are rough. Now it’s time we stand up for her, and other teachers because they have been getting treated unfairly. Ms.Nogle is one of the only teachers that actually loves her job, her students, and teaching and she actually shows that.

Please, AISD and Seguin, reconsider her forced resignation. She deserves better and yet she still is fully dedicated to giving us the proper education we need to excel in our future. If you are a student from Seguin, please consider signing this petition. It could save our teacher’s career and we don’t want her to leave. We are all in melancholy to hear about this terrible news and we are going to do everything in our power to give her what she deserves. In fact, your lucky us students aren’t petitioning for teachers to get higher paychecks. 

In conclusion, Ms. Nogle deserves to have the chance to stay at home and teach because she is already doing a wonderful job doing so. She is one of the greatest teachers we have ever met and to make her resign will negatively affect everybody. Please, reconsider this act and let us learn more from our incredible teacher.
