I have recently spoken with the Director for Security, Facilitation and IT of the Airports Council International (ACI) World who as of January 2018, serves 641 members operating 1953 airports in 176 countries. ACI confirmed that text has been added to the ICAO Security Manual, which is provided to all their members as guidance. I have seen the text (which is exactly what we wanted, yay!) but I am unable to disseminate the information due to restricted security procedures. We are now working with ACI on an article for their blog in order to continue to spread awareness that airport security personnel should offer insulin pumps users alternate screening methods due to the potential harm of electromagnetic radiation used by x-ray screening on their medical device.
