Another milestone – over 1500 supporters and not just from the UK but also Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Greece, Ireland, South Africa, Spain, United Arab Emirate and USA. I have now heard back from the Executive Vice President of Operations at Dubai Airport who said “You will be pleased to learn that I met with the heads of Dubai Police security operations and airport Medical Services yesterday to understand why our procedures were not followed on your return journey. It was agreed all would reinforce the established procedures with staff. The well-being and safety of our passengers is of paramount importance and we greatly appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention.” However, reading the comments that people are posting regarding their own airport experiences around the world, which not only cause stress for the diabetic but can also quickly become a life-threatening emergency, just makes me more determined to keep pushing this campaign forward. As well as the airport and aviation industry media I am also corresponding with some high profile organisations so if you are on Facebook, please like this page to keep updated: https://www.facebook.com/insulinpumpnoxray I’ll keep advocating and I ask you to please keep signing and sharing! https://www.change.org/p/airport-authorities-standard-policy-for-insulin-pumps-at-airport-security Thank you for your time.
