As Airbnb hosts we have taken our fair share of the cost of the pandemic, and we cannot be expected to continue to do so.

Travel insurance for Covid is now available and responsible guests should take out out travel insurance, not only does it cover them for cancelation, it covers the host and the establishment, without Travel insurance the guest might get stuck at his destination and need repatriation, or they may have to cancel their trip as they cannot travel, neither party need suffer loss when Travel Insurance is available.

Airbnb have taken it upon themselves AGAIN to make decisions for their partners whom obviously they do not respect, they have made a ruling where it is Ok to cancel so long as you have Covid and can prove it, however there is Travel Insurance available for this and I believe that Airbnb are acting illegally making Hosts suffer further hardship in this pandemic.

Please sign my petition if you believe that Airbnb have no right to make this cancelation policy without consulting its partners and should ether sell Travel Insurance or advise people when booking that it is advisable to take out travel insurance cover including cover for Covid as they will be bound by the hosts cancelation policy, further that Airbnb should stop offering this cancelation policy which is becoming a get of of jail card for anyone that wants to play it.

Airbnb is not acting in good faith to its Hosts and they should repay all hosts for every cancelation they have forced upon a host whilst travel insurance has been available

I believe that Airbnb have no right to impose these cancellation policies on hosts.
