Rick and Morty is one of those special shows that has had a strong impact on culture and one that many people have indulged and enjoyed at one time or another. Though the quality and ratings have dipped in recent seasons, it still has a dedicated fanbase alongside many who would want it to reach the level it was before so they can get back into it. The quality is something up to the writers team at Rick and Morty but the ratings and viewership is something that we as an audience can help. Rick and Morty currently airs late at night on Sundays(on Adult Swim). When looking at the viewership on Wikipedia or Showbuzz Cable Ratings it is evident that it has dropped dramatically every season progressing further. The main part may be due to a decline in popularity but I believe a greater reason is the fact that it isn't on a streaming service such as HBO Max and instead is on cable. Cable is dying and is very close to flatlining; expecting Rick and Morty to thrive there, especially on such a late time slot, is blissfully ignorant. I know that Rick and Morty has a deal and contract with Adult Swim, which is why it airs on their cable network, but Adult Swim shows(including past seasons of Rick and Morty) alongside Cartoon Network in general already exist there. All that we would be asking for is for it to air directly there to reach the largest possible audience on a popular streaming platform. Rick and Morty even posted the first episode of season 6 on the Adult Swim YouTube channel(for a limited time) and the top comment by far was asking for it to go to streaming because "who has cable anymore". I want Rick and Morty to thrive and be close to the level of success as years prior, I believe this is the best way to do it. Thank you.
