Given the current crisis in our industry, it is important for all members Active or otherwise to have unrestricted access to all ACPA union communications.

Many furloughed Pilots have 10-20-30+ years left with the company.  We believe receiving timely updates to things such as potential changes of our contract, MOAs or results of surveys or elections that may effect employment after returning is everyone's right.

ACPA's Constitution, Article 1 Section 12 states;

The membership shall have the right to petition their LEC or the MEC to conduct a vote
on any matter in accordance with the following guidelines:

ii) If at least thirty (30%) of the national Active Membership demands a vote on a specific
question, then the MEC Chair shall direct that the Voting Certification Committee
(VCC) carry out such a vote.

The motion is as follows;

A move for the Air Canada Pilot's Association to reinstate all furloughed and other non-active members of ACPA to the main email blast list.  Any and all emails sent to the "Active Membership" (non-furlough status Pilots) will also be sent in full, without edits to all "Non-Active Members" (furlough status Pilots and any other non-active members including LOA) in a timely manner.  

This includes but may not be limited to all emails from the CEO, MEC Chair, MEC and Committees.
