Stop Ashford & St Peter's Hospital Trust Charging Blue Badge Holders For Parking

This petition had 805 supporters

2 years ago a campaign was started to stop Ashford & St. Peters Hospital Trust bringing in car park charges for the disabled. We the "little people" got together and with our collective voices stopped this action.

Although we were made aware that this sometime in the future would be reviewed. This week we were tipped off that that the board are going to introduce parking charges for Blue Badge holders on the 1/5/2017.

The trust cite the financial climate has enforced this decision. However, car parking fees are supposed to pay for the upkeep/staffing of the car parks and not to used towards clinicial costs. For the tax year 2015/16 they raised £1.7m in parking fees with out charging blue badge holders.

We have now been informed by Suzanne Rankin CEO that this charge is going ahead despite this petition and other campaign, they are not interested in the community and public's outrage at this.

We will continue to campaign and keep the pressure on.

Please sign and share this petition wherever you can.

Kind Regards, Caroline
