Murshidabad district has a population of approximately 5–9 million people. Currently, residents have access only to either low-quality government hospitals or extremely expensive private hospitals. The nearest AIIMS college is around 100 km away in Kalyani, which is impractical for emergency situations.

 

We, the people of Murshidabad, strongly encourage the construction of an AIIMS college in Berhampore to ensure timely and quality medical care for all residents.
