Recently I received one eChallan mentioned red light violation in which I asked for CCTV footage with clear image showing myself crossing over zebra line at the time of red light. But although i was already stopped behind the zebra line at the time of red signal, Ahmedabad Traffice Police (ATP) issued eChallan.

Now in reply of my this query via email id provides by them which is "csitms-ahd@gujarat.gov.in" , they said I was ahead of the stopline which is few feets behind the zebra line. As per my knowledge mostly nobody is aware about this stopline. So in such cases (which are the most cases) ATP issues eChallan which is not favourable as per the red light violation rule issued by Port and Transport Department of Government of Gujarat.

Another important thing is ATP provided this echallan notice via indian post in April 2019 for the red light violation (rule as per their understanding) they say I have made in January 2019. Now here is one eye catching point: If the people is not aware of this stopline then the same people will be receiving the same kind challan for same kind of violation by just standing before zebra line but ahead of stopline. So I want to ask the authority if you already made aware to that person on the same day on which you believe he or she has violated red light by just standing before zebra line then further challans or violation could be avoided by that person.

Another thing which is creating chaos in between daily commuters is, here in Ahmedabad at some Traffice junctions like one at Gita Mandir S T Terminal and another at Kankaria Aaradhna Apsara cross road: The traffic signal is also on and one or two traffic constables are also handling traffic by waving their hands. Mostly both are not in sync or we can say if the traffic signal is not working then only make traffic constable available at that junction. So most of the time when I stopped my vehical when there is the red light but the traffic constable is waving his or her hand and asking me to go through then in this case to whom I should follow? The Traffice signal which is red or The Traffic Constable who is waving hand and asking to go through although there is red light on?

So these are the few things which needs to be sorted out in Ahmedabad City with respect to traffic monitoring and governing rather just giving eChallan to increase government revenue. People are already paying taxes and they are trying hard to survics in such competitive life race and you are charging them over and over again without giving proper knowledge to either your CCTV monitoring/eChallan issuing staff and daily commuters.

It would be great if you make more people educated about this stopline rather giving them eChallan multiple times. And if you give them challan for the repeated issue, provide them their first challan on time so that they also be aware about the situation here and avoid their self to break the rules.
