Thousands of dogs, cats and other stray animals die in India every year.

Recently the road has been repaired in my area due to a fatal accident which could be avoided if the roads were repaired way earlier. Due to the repair, the speed breakers in this area are not visible or are not doing their thing at all. Rushing vehicles are too common and that's because of non existent speed breakers. 
This is the reason why 2 puppies died recently and one is injured. As can be seen below. The quality of the speed breakers should be taken care of immediately and also the quantity. Awareness for cruelty against animals and Injury should be done. A board or a sign to slow the speed of vehicles and to take care of the dogs near the area should be placed because it is a residential area and with too many dogs nearby. 
As Sections 428 and 429 of the Indian Penal Code and the Cruelty to Animals Act of 1960 make it illegal to maim or cause injury to any animal. It is also illegal for vehicles to purposefully injure dogs, cats and cows on the streets. A person who is caught violating these laws can be reported to the local animal protection group and to the police. I hope strict and quick action is taken as it is a fatal and grave issue. Animal lives matter A LOT.
