Agricultural Development Program Proposal, Youth Empowerment and Employment Program

Agricultural Development Program Proposal, Youth Empowerment and Employment Program
The Issue
Having observed the economic challenges faced by the mass majority and historically impoverished communities, We believe that it is time to address these issues head-on. Thus, We propose establishing native economic operations and therefore, call upon the decision-makers to implement an Agricultural Development Program aimed at empowering youth and stimulating employment opportunities.
Agriculture forms the backbone of many economies worldwide. According to the International Labor Organization, agriculture provides livelihoods for 68% of the world's poor (ILO, 2020). Thus, developing a solid program focusing on this sector can provide a sustainable solution for economic growth and job creation, particularly for the younger generation.
Furthermore, fostering youth participation in agriculture will not only aid economic development but also ensures food security and reduces dependencies on imports. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) states that young people can bring innovation and vibrancy to this sector, thus adding another dimension to the fight against poverty (IFAD, 2018).
Understandably, change can't happen overnight. However, the hope is that by implementing such robust programs, particularly focused on agricultural development, we'll eventually bring financial stability to the masses and historically impoverished communities.
In this era where numerous issues are demanding attention, let's not forget the strength our soil holds. It's time to empower our youth to cultivate it for a nourishing future. Sign this petition today to support the Implementation of an Agriculture Development Program. With your help, we can create a self-sufficient, economically stable, and poverty-free future.
NSProjects participated in the 2021, Africa Youth in Governance Convergence Sumit, which consisted of Youth Representatives from 25 African Countries and the Diaspora held Virtually where this Agricultural Proposal received Recommendations towards its Implementation.
The Publics Support of such Initiatives is what is required for successful implementation and Operations.
