Ontario’s Education Minister, Stephen Lecce, is calling on the federal government to procure and distribute COVID-19 vaccines for our children!

In a letter dated March 26, 2021 he wrote to:

Ahmad Hussen, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development

Patty Hajdu, federal Minister of Health

Anita Anand, Minister of Public Services and Procurement 

In the letter, Stephen Lecce claims that the vaccination of young people will be a critical part in ending the pandemic and he urges the ministers to immediately procure a robust supply of vaccines from potential suppliers! 

Data for the age group of 18 years of age and under from the Public Health Agency of Canada confirms 0 deaths and a hospitalization rate of 1.4%

Children represent only a minor fraction of all positive cases and they present with mild symptoms of infection.
