usage, lessons and school advertisements at downers grove North has increased significantly at the, start of the 2026-2027 school year and it needs to be reconsidered. These lessons, encourage more than 1000 students to use AI at the same time. These lessons teach Students how to us AI without cheating but greatly fail to consider the negative impact it has on environment , mental health and job success in the future. This lesson needs to change! if students never realize the negative impact this can have on them and their peers they will continue using it with ignorance of what they are doing. Surrounding students with Ai images void of feeling can induce a lack of community, students feel as if computer will take over every art industry leaving no human connection on a large scale. It amplifies creative students fear that they won’t have a future job due to AI. students can’t make an educated choice of using AI if our school doesn’t teach them these negative impacts.
