I own and operate The Pleasure Box which sells adult toys and products online (www.pleasurebox.com.au).  I recently applied to both Afterpay and zipPay to allow my customers to use their service (BNPL - Buy Now Pay Later).

Afterpay rejected me outright because I sell adult toys.  zipPay said they would only approve my application if my turnover was over $10 million.  I have lodged a discrimination complaint against both companies with the ACT Human Rights Commission.  You can read about it here​, here and here.

There are a couple of large companies who have been successful with their applications and a few small businesses have snuck in but will have their service cancelled if zipPay or Afterpay find out that their soap-on-a-rope is actually a massive dildo.

If you're outraged that you can use Afterpay/zipPay to buy a hutch for your rabbit but not a rabbit for your crutch please sign and share this petition and hopefully we can get their policies updated to reflect what the public wants and allow ALL adult toy retailers to offer BNPL if they desire.
