Dear Supporters,
Thankyou for your continued support.
We have had no update at all from the department the application that was now applied over a year ago.
My nan, 78 y/o is really sick overseas who is a cancer patient and currently undergoing chemotherapy. Her doctors claim she is not coping well and my mum hasn't seen her for the last 7 years. The current visa imposes restrictions on travelling overseas and returning back to Australia while the application is being processed by the department.
We have updated the department on multiple occasions with medical certificates and reports with no response, which has been extremely disheartening. We've also requested the department for a travel exemption if not application outcome with no luck either.
So with the worsening situation overseas, my dad will be travelling overseas to India and will have to ensure a 3 year ban on revisting my mum and I back in Australia. This has been a really tough decision for my family but it has now come to a life and death situation. My mum has decided to yet again compromise with this situation as being the main application if she travel, the application will be automatically cancelled.
We have secured support letter from Senator Steph May's Office however their office has had no contact either.
With this extremely frustrating and unfair situation I want to request you to continue supporting my family by sharing the petition to your family and friends.
We will keep you updated of any progress in the coming weeks.
Thankyou again,
Singh and Kaur family
