I am Dr. Akshay Kumar Gupta, i am a dentist and i live in delhi. My concern is affordable dental care for school children and poor people. With developing healthcare services in India, posh hospitals and best medical treatments we have a booming medical tourism and so is the dental treatment but these posh dental clinics are good enough for those who can afford it but for a major population in India dental treatment is still unaffordable. Government hospitals, CGHS and many PSU's provide limited dental care with a long waiting list leads to untreated population and poor quality work. As a dentist i have noticed that negligence is the root cause of dental problems and unhealthy eating habits leading to mamoth problems.  Solution to this is very easy such as dental awareness camps in schools on regular basis, dental health card of each child that bears their health check-ups and treatment history. Awareness camps and treatment camps for poor people providing world class dental care free or at minimal cost. We have to improve dental health of people coming from rural sector because they are the people who are labourers, house maids and all other supporting staff. If they're healthy then only they can provide better services to us. My aim is to make dental treatment free or atleast affordable with world class treatment for people those who have nothing. BEST TREATMENT TO THE LOWEST. I have worked in many charities and i've seen the plight of a patient in pain. Let us all join hands and create a new healthy nation.
