Hark, ye explorers, ye crafters, ye conquerors of Aeternum!
Our world doth stand in grievous peril. The colossal merchant that first gave it breath now seeks to smother it. We face a morrow where New World: Aeternum shall be no more, its light extinguished. With it shall perish our chronicled histories, our hard-won glories, and the very fellowship we have forged in fire and faith.
This is, alas, a tale oft-told, a weary refrain! But we shall not suffer this grim ending. We defy this fate!
For 'tis we who spent our coin, our fleeting hours, and our very hearts upon this land. Many amongst us, myself included, were constrained by the burdens of toil and the raising of young heirs, unable to pledge the fullness of our days to this realm as we so wished. I did find favour with the world upon its first dawning, yet when it was reborn as New World: Aeternum, my fondness did bloom into true reverence. 'Twas a world remade, vibrant and calling.
Yet, its failings were known. A want of more deadly instruments, of new arts of war, of strange lands and biomes yet undiscovered. These are not fatal flaws! Nay, these are but shortcomings that can be mended. These are wounds that we, the players, can remedy, if only we are given the reins!
A noble precedent hath been writ! The makers of Paragon, in their wisdom, knew a game's true soul doth dwell within its community. They bequeathed their creation's parts to the people, and by their hands, it was granted new life and did endure.
We now beseech this Amazon to follow such a worthy example!
Let this be our clarion call for a new covenant 'twixt creator and player! Suffer not Aeternum to perish! Grant us the instruments of its preservation. We demand the sacred right to convene our own private worlds or, failing this, the public bequeathing of the game's very sinews!
The name itself is a prophecy, a promise! Aeternum means forever! Thus, they must allow us, its loyal subjects, to carry the torch onward, eternally into eternity.
Let those who cherish this world be its standard-bearers! Join our cause! Lend thy voice to this chorus! Together, let us deliver Aeternum from oblivion!
