Our electric bill went from $300 to $550 in one month's time, even though we had 60-70 degree days, when we did not use our heat. We have a new energy efficient heat pump. This has impacted us significantly. People are struggling to pay these outrageous electric bills, in an area that already has high unemployment & impoverished areas.
