Our plea begins with a personal story. A close friend is currently experiencing direct impacts of gender stereotypes, providing a harsh reality about the place of gender equality in our society today. Gender inequality, a pervasive issue across the world, isn't just about fairness but about fundamental human rights. As per a UNDP report, gender equality is still far from reach with only 14.4% parliamentary seats occupied globally by women, underlining the urgency of our cause. It's time to break down barriers and challenge stereotypes, ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of gender. Because we are missing out on a pool of talents, ideas, and perspectives when we do not provide equal opportunities based on gender.

We believe that every individual, regardless of gender, deserves equal respect and dignity. No one should be judged, ostracized, bullied, or abused for being true to themselves. In a world where judgment and harsh criticism prevail, we must choose kindness, forgiveness, and understanding.We should never judge someone based on their gender or choices. Instead, we should embrace the diversity of human experience and support individuals in their self-expression.

We also believe that gender equality can boosts economic growth. Since, according to VIC.GUV.AU, unequal societies face higher rates of anti-social behavior, violence, and poor wellbeing. In contrast, countries with greater gender equality foster connection, health, and community cohesion. Meaning, promoting gender equality in our community creates a safer, more secure environment for all. By treating everyone with equal respect, we can reduce violence and abuse. We should always remember that every individual deserves equal treatment and opportunities. Together, we can build a more inclusive and compassionate society.

All of us should also know that by promoting gender equality, we empower women, girls, and non-binary individuals to reach their full potential, fostering a more inclusive and prosperous world. It is also important for men and boys to join the conversation, advocating for gender equality and sharing responsibilities. Together, we can create a world where everyone can live without limits.

Remember, all of us can make a difference by speaking out against gender-based violence, supporting inclusive policies, and celebrating diversity. Every small action counts, from challenging sexist language to promoting women's leadership.
