As a devoted fan of the iconic blaxploitation 70s film and TV show that motivated and inspired the unique character of Black Dynamite. However, his representation is missing in the world of Funko Pops. The Afro - a vital element of Black Dynamite's persona and of Black culture - isn’t represented amongst Funko's wide array of figures. Additionally, Black Dynamite's iconic role as a cool but relatable black man resonates with myself and many others, yet we see no reflection of this in the Funko Pops realm. Funko has released over 8000 unique Pop figures since its inception in 1998, but a noticeable gap remains in the representation of diverse hairstyles and cultural features [Source: PopPriceGuide].
