Our own government seems to have failed in protecting women from these heinous crimes which is why we must make our voices heard.

According to a report by RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), only five out of every 1,000 perpetrators will end up in prison. These statistics indicate a terrifying imbalance of justice. The demand isn't for brutal or barbaric punishments but for our justice system to adopt a more serious stance against sexual violence. We need stricter laws, we need punishments that can effectively deter potential perpetrators, we need a system that will not allow monsters to walk freely among us, potentially threatening other lives.
