Advocate for Legislative Changes and Funding for Pet Sterilisation in Canada

Advocate for Legislative Changes and Funding for Pet Sterilisation in Canada
The Issue
Dear [elected official]
Animal overpopulation is a pressing concern, particularly for cats and dogs in Canada. Many families struggle with the costs associated with neutering and spaying these pets. This has led to a significant increase in unwanted animals who end up abandoned, injured, and sick. The burden to help these cats and dogs falls on animal shelters and nonprofit rescues. They can't can't keep up with the sheer number of animals and the costs associated with medical care and sterilisations.
We are asking our elected officials at all levels of government to prioritize this issue and develop solutions. Sterilisation of cats and dogs needs to be addressed. Animal shelters and nonprofit rescues cannot do this alone. Legislative changes and funding from our governments could alleviate this burden and help reduce animal suffering.
We are asking you, [elected official], to act on this issue and work with your counterparts, with rescues, and with the public so that we may help turn the tide of cat and dog overpopulation throughout Canada.
Sincerely,
[a concerned citizen]
We are asking all Canadians to please sign this petition and send the above letter to your elected officials at all levels of government and demand change.
