According to the Humane society, there are approximately 1,000 to 2,000 cases of animal cruelty happening in the United States every year, many of which don't even make it into the public consciousness (source: Humane Society). This emphasizes the magnitude of the problem and the urgent need for systemic changes in our laws and their enforcement. California must stand as a beacon of change, demonstrating respect and care for all animals, starting by seeking justice for Tyson. It's time to impose stronger penalties for violators of animal rights, enact stricter regulations for pet owners and institutions, and arm law enforcement with the necessary resources to carry out their mission effectively.
