The Barangay Sta. Maria in Iriga City faces significant problems in obtaining a proper and steady supply of water, particularly in Cawayan. Families currently depend on irregular water truck deliveries, which are often insufficient for daily needs. In some cases, residents must travel long distances to fetch water, consuming valuable time and resources. Because of this, many are forced to limit their water usage, disrupting essential daily activities.

As students advocating for change, we propose that barangay officials take immediate action by setting up water access points in key areas to make it easier for residents to get water. We also recommend launching a water conservation campaign to teach proper water use and management, and encourage the local government to work with other agencies to improve the community’s overall water system. By implementing these steps, residents can save time and effort, carry out daily tasks more easily, and feel less stress about water scarcity. Without these actions, the current problems will continue to make life more difficult for the people in the area.

The need for immediate action is clear: the current situation takes too much time, energy, and effort from residents, affecting their daily routines and overall well-being. Prompt attention from barangay officials will help ensure that every household has easier and safer access to clean water while preventing future shortages.
