Advocate for Fallen Angels Animal Shelter's Permanent Residency

The Issue

Our connection to the Fallen Angels animal shelter is deeply personal. We have visited the shelter and seen direct evidence of the care and love provided to over 300 animals that have found refuge in their facilities. The shelter has become their protective haven, their family, their home. However, the current situation sees this safe house under threat. The City of Cape Town is considering moving the shelter due to its proximity to a nuclear power station.

Unfortunately, the displacement could cause irreparable harm to the animals. They have bonded with the shelter staff, become accustomed to their surroundings, and the upheaval could cause significant distress. The task of moving 300+ animals to a new location is not only physically challenging but could also pose health and safety risks for the animals.

For these reasons, we urge the City of Cape Town to recognize the good that the Fallen Angels animal shelter is doing in their community and allow them to maintain their current location. This charitable organization demonstrates a pure commitment to humane animal care and has potentially saved hundreds of innocent lives from hardship and suffering. We also request that if their legal appeal to stay in their premises is not accepted, they receive financial support from the city to move premises due to the high expenses to do so, when they are providing a great service for the The City of Cape Town.

Let's show our support for the Fallen Angels animal shelter and stand against their compulsory rehousing. Sign this petition, and implore the City of Cape Town to allow this animal sanctuary to remain where they have been faithfully serving our community's animals.
