Advocate for cancellation of board exams for students in the Middle East

The Issue

This is with regard to the current ongoing war happening in GCC countries.

As a Class 12 student preparing for my board examinations, the current regional tensions have been affecting me more than I expected. While I am trying my best to stay focused, the constant uncertainty and anxiety make it difficult to concentrate fully on my studies. It has been challenging to prepare with the same clarity and peace of mind that such important exams require.

We, the students of CBSE-affiliated schools across GCC countries, wish to express our deep concern regarding the conduct of the upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations amid the ongoing regional conflict.

The prevailing war situation has created significant instability and emotional strain for students and their families. Continuous exposure to distressing developments, safety concerns, and uncertainty about potential escalations have impacted our ability to focus on academics. Many students are experiencing heightened anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and disrupted study schedules during what is already one of the most critical phases of our education.

In light of these extraordinary circumstances, we earnestly request the Board to consider postponing preferably *cancellation* of the examinations until normalcy is restored or to explore alternative assessment measures that ensure equity and compassion for students affected by the crisis.

Your support can bring about the much-needed change. Sign the petition today and help ensure that CBSE acknowledges the issue and takes corrective measures.
