I am a resident of Taytay, Rizal, Philippines and every day, I see animals on the streets suffering due to lack of care and protection. This issue is deeply personal to me as I believe that all creatures deserve respect and compassion. Castilla is home to numerous stray animals who are often neglected or mistreated. It's heartbreaking to witness their struggle for survival each day.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are approximately 200 million stray dogs worldwide. In the Philippines alone, it's estimated that there are 11.6 million stray dogs (Philippine Animal Welfare Society). These figures highlight an urgent need for action.

We need stronger animal rights laws in Castilla that will protect these vulnerable creatures from abuse and neglect. We also need more resources dedicated towards providing shelter, food, medical care and sterilization services for these animals.
