I am deeply moved to speak out against the tragic loss of innocent Palestinian lives. It breaks my heart that countless people are being brutally killed, and what is almost as distressing is how few are speaking up to decry these unconscionable acts committed by Israel. Amnesty International reports that from March 30, 2018, to December 31, 2018, more than 180 Palestinians were killed and more than 6,100 were injured with firearms used by Israeli forces (Amnesty International Report, 2018). This is beyond horrid; it is a blatant disregard for human rights. I implore everyone to take a stand against this injustice. We demand the world's leaders to step in and prevent further horrific loss of innocent lives. Our collective voice must be used to insist on peace, safety, and human rights for all Palestinians.
