The Issue

Current housing costs in the Teton Valley have soared to the point that working-class residents are struggling to find homes they can afford.

According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, a minimum wage worker would have to clock nearly 97 hours per week just to pay for a modest one-bedroom apartment at fair market rent—an impossible burden for many in our community.

The proposed Alexandria Workforce Housing Project would add over 120 new apartments, all of which are slated for long-term deed restrictions, ensuring affordability across several income levels.

By moving forward with this project, we can provide a meaningful solution to our local housing crisis and promote financial stability for our hardworking neighbors.

Quality, affordable housing is essential to the health and vibrancy of our community — sign this petition to show your support and help make these new homes a reality.
