The Issue

I am writing this petition on behalf of the Hudson & Reed Foundation, an organization deeply committed to celebrating diversity, promoting inclusivity, and empowering the LGBTQ+ community. Our mission is not only to provide a platform for self-expression and growth but also to keep alive the memory of two iconic figures in our community - Rock Hudson and Robert Reed.

Rock Hudson was one of Hollywood's leading men during his time. He was also one of the first major celebrities to die from an AIDS-related illness, which brought significant attention to the disease. His legacy continues as he remains a symbol for LGBTQ+ rights.

Robert Reed was best known for his role as Mike Brady on "The Brady Bunch". Despite being closeted during his lifetime due to societal pressures, he posthumously became an important figure in LGBTQ+ history.

Both these individuals made significant contributions not just in their field but also towards raising awareness about issues faced by our community. Their courage and resilience continue to inspire us today.

We propose that United States Postal Service (USPS) honor these trailblazers with commemorative stamps. A USPS stamp featuring Rock Hudson and Robert Reed would serve as a national recognition of their contributions and would help further promote diversity, inclusivity, and acceptance - values that they stood for throughout their lives.

Join us in urging USPS to create stamps honoring Rock Hudson and Robert Reed – let's celebrate these icons who have left indelible marks on our society! Please sign this petition today.
