Advocate for a new gas station in North Tulsa
The Issue
As a long-time resident of North Tulsa, I've personally experienced the inconvenience of traveling miles just to fill up my gas tank. For those of us who live or frequently visit the LL Tisdale Highway and Osage Casino area off West 36th Street North, it becomes evident that the lack of nearby gas stations is a pressing issue. The closest options are the Quiktrip on Pine and Peoria or the one in Gilcrease Hills, both of which are not exactly around the corner for many of us.
North Tulsa, known for its vibrant community and bustling atmosphere, deserves the kind of basic amenities found in other parts of the city. The absence of a convenient gas station in such a busy area places an unnecessary burden on residents and impacts visitors, deterring them from spending time in a part of Tulsa that has so much to offer.
Adding a gas station near this intersection isn't just about convenience. It's about enhancing the quality of life for residents, reducing travel times, and supporting the local economy by making North Tulsa a more accessible place. Imagine not having to worry about running low on fuel as you travel to work, run errands, or visit the casino for entertainment. More immediate access to fuel can lead to more consistent local business.
Moreover, such an addition can promote job creation—a new gas station requires staff, facilitates more foot traffic to nearby establishments, and could serve as a catalyst for further development in the area. Potential business owners should consider investing in this opportunity, as it offers the promise of serving a community in need and realizing financial return in the process.
I believe that by working together, we can make this happen. I urge city planners, potential investors, and local government officials to recognize this need and take action. Please join me in advocating for a new gas station, to serve not just as a fuel hub, but as a stepping stone toward better infrastructure and quality of life in North Tulsa.
Let us raise our voices and make it clear that North Tulsa deserves better access to fuel. Please sign this petition to bring more convenience, opportunity, and growth to our beloved community.
