The city of Nashville has its own Chief of Sustainability and Resource Officer- but there is no position in Metro Schools that also focuses on climate action in the world of education. As members of the Mayor's Youth Council's Environmental Committee, we formally request that Metro Schools hire its own Chief of Sustainability so that sustainability work can be done in classrooms, inspiring students to be changemakers.
